You never know what is going to happen next, and things can always get worse. This was a morality tale, and the lesson here is the truth is always the best road to take, and the longer you wait to come clean the worse the consequences can be. A man comes out holding a gun, and Marcus shoots and kills him as well. On the first day while hunting, Vaughn accidentally shoots and kills a young boy while lining up his shot on a deer. Marcus (McCann) decides to take his lifelong friend Vaughn (Lowden) on a weekend hunting trip in the Scottish Highlands. It stars Jack Lowden, Martin McCann and Tony Curran. They left the complexities of the story to the emotions felt by the characters throughout the film and it worked splendidly.Ĭalibre (2018) is a British thriller written and directed by Matt Palmer. This was a very exciting film, but surprisingly simple. ![]() There is nothing wrong with a script that has some depth and intelligence, but keeping it simple is sometimes the best way to tell a story to a wider audience, as is the case with this film.
